For any of those that don’t know the board is spending huge sums of money to defy state laws and our hoa bylaws and fight the homeowners. Not only are they spending large amounts of money on the attorney they have hired to oppose us they are now ‘participating’ in a mediation meeting that will cost the homeowners even more money. Instead of following the law they are spending our money to fight we the homeowners. Do you wonder where all of the hoa dues and water payments are going? Besides paying way too much for the simple water system monitoring and billing they are fighting the homeowners for more control and secrecy.

And the intent is to raise the bills even more. This was stated right in a recent board meeting. They want to do special assessments and charge us more that way also. They have taken out a loan without our permission. They have put us all in debt. There are many other aspects to this all that are dangerous to the viability of our hoa and water system.
A few months ago the board undertook an improper and not legally based attack on many of the homeowners over these illegal bills. The homeowners were threatened and intimidated over the water bills, including threats of shutting off their water. The homeowners own the water system, that is stated right in the bylaws. Yet the board acted and act like they are the only owners. They only comprise a small percentage of that ownership not 100% and certainly not even any kind of majority.

All of these laws and rules state that the hoa is to make full financial records available to any lot owner that requests them. They are also to do and present budgets which is what sets the billing rates, not just arbitrary numbers that they put on us. And a yearly certified public accounting is required. None of this has been done for years. Maybe decades. Why? Probably because the board wants to hide the waste and perhaps even worse that is going on. We cannot see what is going on if we are locked out of our own hoa. Which is what is happening and being allowed. I am referencing these laws at the end of this post so you can look them up. These are also stated in our bylaws but they are net being honored.

We are in trouble here. Homeowners need to go to the board meetings and ask questions. When you get delays, lies or bs it will show you what is going on as you can then smell the stench. Otherwise there is not much done at the meetings because all of the evil ‘work’ is behind the scenes, again out of our view. They communicate regularly and we have no access to any of that. None of this is to be secret and it needs to stop. This is our water system, to be run by us and not a cabal of evil. We can stop this.
